Collegeville

Modern day Collegeville as we know it today has been rapidly

growing from its early start as part of the William Penn purchase

of “All the land lying on the Pahkehoma”.  Originally known as

Perkiomen Bridge and later Freeland, Collegeville was incorporated

in 1896, in what is currently Montgomery County.  It is home to a

melting pot of people of all back rounds.  As the town has grown it

has attracted many people and corporations to move here due to its

geographic location and ease of access to many major highways.

It is currently home to such companies as GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer,

Dow Chemical, as well as a large assortment of small businesses.

The town has become a perfect place to raise a family with highly ranked public and private schools, as well as a nationally known college, Ursinus – founded in 1869.  The area continues to grow today seeing many people moving to this beautiful town.
